We accept print or electronic review copies of picture books, middle grade, and young adult novels that are by/for/about Latinxs. We will continue to support #ownvoices, so we will give priority to books by Latinx creators with Latinx content. We will also give priority to traditionally published books since they have gone through a vetting process. These are the books we will consider first, but this does not mean we will never read and review books with Latinx content by non-Latinxs or self-published books. Our goal is to read, review, and celebrate books that we believe have authentic, valuable content.
After a review request is received, it will be shared with the Latinxs in Kid Lit team to see if someone is interested in the title. We have the right to deny a review request. We also have the right not to review a book even after we have received a copy. We will be fair and critical in our reviews.
Books that we review will either be purchased by us, borrowed from a library, attained at a conference, or sent for review from the publisher, agent, or author. How we attain the book will be specified in each review post. We are not compensated for books sent to us or for reviews.
To request a book review, please email us at latinosinkidlit@gmail.com or complete and submit our Contact Form.
